I would suggest checking out www.cheaptickets.com. I've always had great success finding the cheapest rates on hotels, flights, car rentals, and everything else you can think of to get/do on a last minute trip.

Last minute cruzes, If yer close, call the place yourself, and put yer name and offer 1/3 of the coast. If there becomes an openning, the'll call you that morning of leaving. It ruins the "get ready, anticitation fun," and it can be Hectic. But once on all is same. eating and all. It worked 2 years ago for my wife and myself. Less than 1/2 price. We cruzed from San Francisco to Alaska for 9 days. There are Great Mexico Trips , out of, San Pedro California. And great nearby Beaches, in both Directions. (suggest: Redondo Bch.)
