What is your question?  As long as you have a valid birth certificate, it shouldn't matter what the name on it is.  Your first name is Female.  You can pronounce it fem a lee, if you like.

You are 75 years old.  How can you not get an I.D. when you've been on Social Security for 10 years? 

If your first name box of your U.S. Birth Certificate has the word Female in it, then your first name is Legally, "Female". It would be worth your while to see a Lawyer, and have your Birth-Certificate amended.

I had the same problem. When I was born my parents did not name me before leaving the hospital so my birth certificate said "baby boy" *******. My father, when I was 18, went with me to the vital statistics with my ss card and baptismal certificate and we had it changed.
