Im 16 years old and im 170 lbs, what would be the best way for me 2 lose some pounds befor the summer?

aw, hun, i know the feeling...17 years old, 152 lbs.

anyway, heres my ideas.

 excersise:

try going running each morning. not on a treadmill, outside. it's easier to motivate yourself if youre outside and actually GOING somewhere.

make a playlist of music to listen to while you are workign out.

 try doing situps every time commercials come on during the shows you watch on TV until the commercial break is over. fills in the time, and works like a charm! =]

 and also, the areas you wnat to foucus on working out most right now are probably stomach and cardio. theyre good all-over helpers.

 dietary:

 try deleting 3 unhealthy things from your diet completely. especially soda. soda is practically liquid candy.

 everytime you go to get a serving of food, get the amount you wnat, but throw away half and eat half. this will also work very effectively.

 try gettign smaller servings- its easier to limit the amount you eat if you dont have as much on your plate.

 also, take smaller bites, and chew slower. you'll get full quicker.

 try eliminating unneccesary snacking form your diet. only eat when you are actually hungry.

The best way to lose weight is to change your life style a bit. By eating healthier and exercising regularly (cardio is what specifically will help you lose weight). Stick to snacking on fruits and veggies for snacks instead of chips or cookies (and if you HAVE to eat those cookies, try to get the ones that have lower fat or perhaps even the sugar free ones). Cut out sugar from your diet. If you do these two things the pounds will start to come off. Read more here about leading a healthier lifestyle. Good luck!

yea...dat  stuff is stressful...Ihave a friend who's like 16 and she's a lil' over wieght too :[!!! Well the best is most likely work out,...n' get sum exercise...n' eat a lota  fruits, vegetables, n' sum salads here & there!!!

and u should be pretty close :-]!!!

Don't worry I am 5'2 and was about 160-170 for about 4 years.  I worked out constantly but never lost any weight.  You really have to realize you are what you eat.  You can work out everyday but if you are still eating junk food you will never lose weight.  To learn portion control I started  out with lean cuisines they are good and have very little calories plus the size really eaches you how much you should be eating for a meal.  I have since lost 40lbs!  NO MORE FAST FOOD!!!! Good luck!  read calories, know what you are eating.
