I think it's exciting sometimes to live vicariously through celebrities with their glamorous lives. Most of us live normal, and/or mundane lives and know to a certain extent what to expect from day to day. We look to celebrities to do what it is that we are or can not. Many celebrities are also role models for people all over the world, so they are expected to act a certain way, and for that reason they are constantly watched.

People love to read of the scandals of celebrities because very often they get away with it; all parts of their charmed lives.

Because they are often role models, and people want to be like them.

Simply because they're famous.And if you're famous you are interesting.:)

People are interested because they do not have a life. I am getting along in life and will not live many more years. This is totally unimportant. People need to find stuff to be important to them, and not celeb sh*t.

I think it seems to add significance to their lives and is based on a human addiction to gossip, tittle tattle and general nonsense. Very few successful people are celeb' watchers.
