Ask your mother what she'd like to do!

If she says, "Nothing" or "It doesn't matter" then use your brain and think of something you know she'd like.

Does she like the outdoors? Gather the family and have an old-fashioned picnic.

Is she always doing for others but never takes time for herself? Give her a day of pampering for herself and a companion.

Above all, be sure to tell your mother how much you love her and how much she means to you. If you put that in writing - in your own words - I suspect that would be the best gift of all.

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

I think that making something for your mom would be really nice, either with pictures that you have, or writing something nice.  Mom's really want to hear how special they are to you on Mother's Day.  Like JKgrandma said, see if there's something she'd love to do, and make sure she has a nice day.

I always celebrate Mothers Dayin best way. I make her favorite meal on mothers day, decorate her room with flowers, scented candles. Make a card in which I write good lines for her. Present with all these with a huge flowers bunch and yummy chocolates. She feels so happy.

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Want a Moist Turkey? Brine It. Now.

Have you ever ordered roast turkey when dining in a really good restaurant with a great chef? If you have, then you’ve probably wondered how they manage to keep the meat so tender and moist. Is it a secret ingredient, or perhaps some amazing piece of hugely expensive, professional cooking equipment? Actually, it’s neither. It’s all done by brining! Brining is the very simple and inexpensive process of “marinating” the bird in a salt solution infused with aromatic herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables. The salting process encourages very deep, cellular moisture penetration, which basically means less drying out during roasting...resulting in a moister bird.
