It's not common to all women, but there are several reasons.

For starters, it's a pretty strenous ordeal, giving birth, and you might just be very tired. Then the epidoural could be causing uncontrollable shaking of the lower body. And the hormone levels start to plummet and rise crazily throughout labor and particularly after the baby is out.
