You might have a sort of cyst that will go away.  Sometimes shaving, or just deodorant can irritate your armpit.  I would watch it for a couple days and if it continues to really bother you, have your family doctor take a look at it.  I hope this helps.  Have a great day.

It's your future, be there healthy.

The more common reasons for armpit pain are swelling in the lymphatic glands in the armpit and breast area, or a pull of the Pectoralis muscle which then irritates the ribs underneath.

Shaving too close to the root, or beauty products may also cause a severe allergic reaction. 

If the pain does not disappear, it could be symptomatic of something more serious, and you should go to your GP and have it palpated and examined.

The first thing that comes to mind is there are lymph nodes in your armpit.  If this pain is consistent/persistent, I would see a doctor to evaluate. 

Any other symptoms? Does the pain radiate anywhere else?  Does anything make the pain go away or make it better?  Worse?

when i was 17 I had the same symptons. I went to the ER and had cyst. The doctor numbed it and cut to let infection out. He said to change razors quite often and use deodarant only instead aod antiperspirant. i never had any other problems. He also put me on pain pills for a week. I hope this helps!
