I have a ringing in my left ear and it started after I took over the counter medicine for a sinus infection. Could it be from the medication? Should I get my ears cleaned out? I had one doctor tell me that it could be a tumor, which is always in the back of my mind. If a tumor were present, what over symptoms would I have?

Great hair is a must!

I wouldn't play guessing games when it comes to your hearing. I would go directly to an ear, nose and throat doctor and get all the necessary testing done to find out what the problem is. Good luck.

What you have.. tinnitus is a fairly common ENT problem. The usual causes of Tinnitus are benign especially when it starts suddenly and associated with an infection as yours' is.

Only a thorough examination and tests (if necessary) can assess your problem, not guesswork :-). Don't worry, it is highly unlikely that it is a tumour.

From what I know, ringing ears could be from sinus and in very few cases it could be from tumors. This condition is not easy to find the root cause. Maybe you could check this site: Home Remedies Tinnitus
