A:They probably regard your hair as a play thing, and don't really want to eat it. The good news is that when they grow older they stop. The (maybe) less good news is that they might want to start grooming you, as a sign that you are a part of the pact and a highly valued member at that.
I suggest making sure they have enough other things to play with.
