Can I get Cat Scratch Disease from a needle stick?
About a month ago, I accidently stuck myself in my finger with a needle after giving my cat subcutaneous fluids. About 10 days after the needle stick, a lymph node in my neck (same side as the finger that was stuck) swelled almost overnight. It has been swollen ever since. Now the lymph node in my armpit is sore (same side). I have some of the other symptoms of Cat Scratch Disease - tired, headache, chills. I am going to the doctor but I was just wondering if anyone thinks it is possible to get this from a needle stick instead of a cat bite or scratch.
