My cat just recently started using the front entry ...

My cat just recently started using the front entry way as a litterbox. I have tried everything from purchasing additional litterboxes to have more available, to using citrus, cayenne pepper, amonia, bleach, and a $14 dollar/bottle cat repellent spray  all to no avail. At last resort I fashioned a 'tack track' with posterboard, and tacks to deter this cat away from this area, to which the cat only defecated on a new spot in the entry way. Can anyone please help? The next option is to get rid of this cat! She's defecating at least 4-5 times a day here! I love this cat, but refuse to live with filth.

Is it your? is it a stray cat?

If It's yours, I would just lock it in a different area in the house for about a week with a litter box until the cat get used to peeing in the box which is elsewhere.

If it's a stray cat then take it to a salter or find a home for it.

If it's a male cat then he's probably marking territory andwould stop it if you get the cat fixed.
