I had a 2006 convertible mini cooper w/ an automatic transmission. It has been wrecked (not my fault) and considered a total loss. The woman who caused the accident had Farmers insurance. Farmers told me that they don't have to "replace" my car, but only pay me for my cars worth. They are estimating my cars worth @ 19000, yet I can not find another 06 convertible automatic in the state of Oklahoma where I live, and the closest ones to me for sale are going for 22000 to 27000. Has anyone else ever encountered insurance payouts going for less than a cars worth, and if so, any suggestions on my next move?
Thanks,
Shana
