You can install an alarm, and most new cars come with an immobilizer built in, but short of putting your car under 24 hours watch, there's no sure fire way of getting your car safe, you know.

What goes around comes around

Stopping people from stealing your car is a constant race. New technology coming out is answered by new ways to crack that technology, and the battle never ends. Sure you can install an immobilizer and have an alarm but that still won't be able to ensure your car stays in your driveway.

The problem is that once a thief knows his way around the wiring of the car it gets really difficult to stop him. I know this doesn't help you too much but i suggest you use all the regular precautions and also add a tracking device that will help you locate your car after it's stolen.

Hope you won't have another car stolen. Best regards.

In Israel I guess you can install a "

Sky lock" system which tracks your car and control it. You can also install a Multilock on your car. A combination of the two will provide you with a pretty good solution.

24 thumbs up

Park it in your garage and lock the garage. Alarm the garage. Don't depend on a wireless garage door opener - physically block the  door track.

If you must park on the street, own a beater and never leave anything in it.

Depending on where you live, park the car so it's visible from your residence, have a good alarm system WITH A SEPARATE BATTERY, and get a good scope for your rifle.
