I think it has a very positive outlook as everyday more and more people are realizing that speaking a foreign language is not just a personal asset but also an advantage in the business field. It should be more dynamic at school and encouraged more at home though.

Hello there,

It's clear that our world is changing. It actually has been changing for many years but now the phrase "a global world" is heard in every household. This trend, of the world becoming smaller, is sure to continue in the next few years and with that we will see more foreign markets opening to investors (Just look at China). This will put people with foreign language skills ahead of the rest.

Add on that the huge world of internet and e-commerce and it's easy to understand how the need for knowledge in foreign languages will continue to grow.

Hope this answer helped.

All the best.
