I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey and the back brakes squeek very loud almost like a grinding sound. We've had them checked, dust blown off and brakes are fine. Drums are fine. What could it be? Brake shop can find nothing wrong.

Honda has had noise promblem with odessey drum brakes and change to disc brake system in 2001 so in mean time i give you a couple options and you may try to see what works best for your budget. 1st would be new hold down springs and lube contact points of brake shoes come in contact with backing plate and turn rear drums and switch sides they were on ex. left drum on right side and right side on left. 2nd would be replace rear brake shoes with wagner therma quites and brake hardware and new drums.
