I know guy whose name is Oguz  tuncoglu He is a petrochemical engineer basicly he desings smallsystem which retine waste oil into a usable product.Normally this kind of refining system costs around 30Million to set up with this mini refinery you can convert waste engine oil into diesel fuel what i hear is that he sets upthis system for 300K and it can create diesel fuel  between 200-300 gallons per hour

Also he set up microwave refining system that can turn plastic and waste oil into diesel but must be very expensive

FuJI industries of japan has a unit to do just this

It heats the engine oil up then runs it thru a centrifuge to remove sludge and

unwanted material. it then burns as number 2 fuel oil in a furnace

I believe it sells for around 4500US dollars but not sure of it's capacitys and outputs

The answer si absolutly yes you can and it can be cheap.

First thing filter filter filter.

Lets say you go to your mom and pops local auto repair shop.

There going to have a huge 500 gal tank there they have pumped out 2 or 3 times a year. This crap has a lot of stuff in it not just old oil.

It's going to have motor oil, antifreez, cleaning solvents, water, grease, gassoline, diesel, soap, dirt, ect ect in it.

You have to get this crap seperated out or gone in some way.

For every 50 gallons of this mix you may be lucky to get 10 gallons of usable fuel out of it.

Ok lets start. We are going to do this on the cheap well best I can come up with.

Heat you crud mix up to 225 to 250 degrees, this will bind the oil and crun in a nice flowing liquid I will call this "crud" keep the crud up to temp for at least 2 hours.

This will burn off the water. Doo not ofer cook unless your looking for tar.

Your looking the steam to stop from comming off the mix.

This will also get the gass out as it will evap off ! no smoking lol.

Ok lets filter off the junk out of the crud. lets start with a large siv filter getting smaller each time. You need to filter down to where you gan get the fluid thru a standard fuel filter.

Now let figure out what you can and can't use.

use the same system the BIOdiesel guys do to get out the the junk and get proper fuel meth combo. Dry filter this and cut you mix 50 50 with actual diesel

and wala you got your fuel.

Good luck

If you know you have pure automotive or diesel oil filter it and dump it in you tank 25% to 75% diesel

if it is oil it will burn in a powerstroke    and i mean a powerstroke  sry sick .0  an sick .4  guys  these junk engines wont like it . The  1999 7.3 f-350 i have will run on pure filtered waste motor oil. ( no cutting with diesel as long as the temp is above 50 degrees outside)  In the winter i run a 50 %  mix .  i have  burned prolly 800 gals of pure waste engine oil  since i started  about this time last year  and prolly  1000  gals of mix. no problems yet .  if u run pure wmo u will get some blue smoke until u reach normal engine operating temp  but hey its free fuel !  it will also get beter mileage 2 the tune of 25-35 %  with a slight increase in power and reduction of engine noise .    i do not think the tax department would b 2 proud of this tho .   it can b done just dont get caught !
