Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Curious,

Once again thank you for your reply. We can't go around condemning people for who their pastors or friends were. My pastor has said some things that I didn't agree with, but I knew that wasn't the way I felt and it didn't influence me one way or the other. I have had friends that I didn't think were making the right choices in life, or rather were doing things that were unknown to me. When I found out about it, yes I distanced myself from them but the fact is, we don't always know everything our friends are involved in.

I try not to judge a person for what their parents did because we have no control over that. I try to think, what if God judged us for the sins of our parents, where would we be?

As far as his father's ancestors enslaving people, I have a lot of caucasian friends and some family members (brother-in-law, niece, nephew), who I love very dearly. I am a African American and my people were in the bondage of slavery, for over 100 years by the whites, but I don't go around hating whites for that. I've voted for whites all of my life and have never thought that I would not vote because their ancestors enslaved my ancestors.

I am voting for Obama mainly because I think that he is the best man for the job. I told you not to vote for him if you felt that way, mainly because if it were me, I would not want your vote (not trying to be disrepectful).

I pray that we both make the best choice.

Be Blessed.
