Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Curious,

Thank you for your candid and honest reply. I guess being an african american myself, I know the hardships that we went through and in some instances still encounter to be accepted.

Barck Obama had no control over who his parents were, just as you and I didn't. This was a child that went through rejection by his father and had to be raised by his single mother. I think his mother and grandparents did an excellent job raising this young man. As far as his father being mixed with Arab or whatever else genes he may have had, does not reflect on whether Barack will make a good president or not. This young man had to struggle with his identity to fit into a world that did not accept him as white or black.

I don't look at a persons skin color but like Dr. Martin Luther King says, I look at the content of their character. Your vote may be affected by his ethnicity but he has my vote. I don't care about the Arab genes because it is evident that the African American gene was the dominant gene. As far as I am concerned, he is black. Just about every american in this country is mixed with some other gene that makes them part of something (Irish, German, Polish, ect...). Heck, there are a lot of whites that are part black and don't know it. Interracial sex didn't just start yesterday. It's been around since slavery; Whites sleeping with blacks and blacks sleeping with whites. If we start pointing fingers, we may as well look in the mirror and point a finger at ourselves.

I refuse to blame a man (a child then) for something that occurred when he was not even a thought in his parents mind. May God help us all when we start condemning people for their parents sins or mistakes. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it if he was part Arab. He is still God's child, and deserves the right to live, just like the rest of us. Barack is a U.S. citizen and has rights and priviledges the same as any other american.

If you feel the way that you do, I urge you not to vote for him, because I'm sure if he knew how you felt, he would probably turn it down anyway. He has my vote, because I think that he is the best candidate for the job, whether black or Arab.

Be Blessed.
