Dave - I am having the same problem. It seems that it happened after an AOL update. I e-mailed AOL and I am awaitng a response. As soon as they get back to me, I will post their answer.

How do I disable the AOL Search Window from coming up at login?

If you do not wish to receive the search window, please follow the instructions below to disable it.

1. Go to AOL® Keyword: Search Window.

2. Click Opt Out.

3. Click OK to confirm.
