Hello~I have that happen to me many times before. Your best bet is to unplug your modem for about 1 minute and then plug it back in. Sometimes the modem needs to reset and when you unplug it/replug back in, it helps you get a clearer connection.

If this doesn't work and go to your DSL help site and follow their tips about connection issues. These help sites can diagnose any problems and fix them automatically. Good Luck...

Jean,  Have you cleaned up your computer lately?  Go and delete any old programs and games that you are not using.  Then do a disc clean up on your C drive.  Next do a defragmentation.  You should be doing defrag on a steady basis.  When you go to start defrag, your computer will tell you if it needs to be done yet or not.  I usually run defrag before I go to bed and leave the computer on all night, as sometimes it can take a few hours.  So I would say do a lot of cleaning up on your computer.  That is probably why it doesn't want to respond.  It is too full of stuff.
