My husband mismeasured and drilled a hole in our cabinet door and it now has a 3/8" hole above the handle. Can this be repaired or do we have to buy a new cupboard door?They are cherry with a fruitwood stain. Brand new house, brand new cupboards.
The ideal solution would be to purchase a new door but you can cover the hole with a decorative rosette that can be purchased in a store specializing in all sorts of cabinet and door handles.
home centers sell decorative little circles that protect the wood from wet, greasy hands and chome in chrome and other finishes. You would need them for all the cabinets for uniformity.
