We are in the process of decorating approx. 4000 sq.ft.rustic cabin home in the Sierra's. Lots of wood. Knotty Alder kitchen, hickory floor downstairs, formal cherry dining room.I'm not sure what type of carpet to finish stairs and upstairs area.We need something that will withstand a lot of traffic.Any ideas?
Cleaning murphy's oil or white vinegar. (wood floors simple cheap and it works) I'd do some kind of short pile (rug) on the stairs and make it looped and a darker cooler beige or even brown. Even an outdoor carpet style would be great. Just remember if you go white you clean with all your might and the stains still come out with spite.
A berber carpet is not only beautiful but extremely durable. Good Luck, I can be more helpful if needed
