That depends on what type of socialization you're referring to. Since you mentioned working from home I assume you have internet access. Why don't you look into some type of  local "Social Networking" on the web. Perhaps a hometown forum, news group, or something like that. Usually you can find such websites by typing the name of you city and state into a search engine followed by whatever source you choose. For example, you might try typing  "Pittsburgh Pa. hometown forum"  or "Pittsburgh Pa. newsgroups", etc.

Social relationships do not have to be made within work. Go out to the local PUB. Go play your favorite ,team sort of, sport. Basically, I believe you should Compensate by going out more and doing activities like I mentioned. But that's only my opinion.

I think if you are already at home and already online, try one of the dating/acquaintance sites. I personally think they are pretty good . Try finding out which one is reliable in your location. Today a lot of people meet on the web and relationships which evolved online outlast their expectations.

Who knows?!

Pick activities you have a passion for and search for local associations, clubs, events related to that activity. Not only will you meet other poeple, you will meet people you have something in common with making it easier for you to intereact. I also suggest volunteering for a charity organization that you believe in. Charities bring to gether many interesting people who work together on varous projects for an extended period of time. You will not only meet people, but you will also have the opportunity to get to know them. The key is to meet new people while doing something that you enjoy and that brings you personal satisfaction.
