Need some good bridal shower ideas, something that can appeal to a wide variety of personalities and age groups. I need to decide on something fast as I would like to include the shower theme in the bridal invitations.
I would try to host it at someone's house, it's free, and usually a more comfortable ambient to socialize.

If you want ideas, give people your information. IE....where are you having shower and what type of wedding you are having. How much is your budget? To me it sounds like you are getting married for the excitement not a true commitment for life. If you ask such an open question, you must be very young, which is okay, but you need to give people some idea of who you are and what your likes and dislikes are. Its all about the money babe.
The search for people who can answer your question continues for as long as needed - until you find the answer you were looking for.

Being summetime, a great all around family fun type theme would be the outdoor barbecue or "lets' go to the beach" barbecue style buffet with all the usual barbecue fare, hamburgers and hot dogs, salads and fixings. Find out the brides wedding colors and accessorize according to those with flowers and other decorations, napkins, table cloths,lanterns, etc. A beautifully decorated sheet cake with again using wedding colors large enough to serve all guests with congrats to the happy couple written on top with both of their names. Fun games to play, wedding ring "horseshoes"...set up posts and throw "wedding" rings, bridal Mad Libs. Guests could bring gifts related to outdoor living and vacation living, towels, blankets, sheets, table cloths, glasses, plates, utensils, etc. Could also set up a volleyball pit and play volleyball. Casual, easy and fun.
