What breed am I?

My husband and I are thinking of adopting an adorable rescue dog, and are wondering what breed this puppy is. He's about 2 months old now, and has slender legs with larger paws. His markings are border-collie-ish, and he has a white stripe on his belly.

Does anyone have any ideas of what breed(s) he may be?

Maybe a terrier mix -- Jack Russell and Boston Terrier?

The shape of the face looks like a Jack Russell Terrier:

... while the color pattern looks like a Boston Terrier:

(This Boston Terrier has a lighter color than the puppy in your picture -- but many Boston Terriers have the darker color.)

I enjoy using Yedda to ask and answer questions. I previously worked as a nurse but am now based from home - having just completed a long spell of breast cancer treatment.

Life has also been busy lately after the arrival of our new puppy called poppy. She's a black labarador retriever and drives us all crazy at times but we just adore the buzz she brings to the house. Last week she caused me a shoulder injury by tugging when out walking - but I can forgive that for the fun she brings. Other sites I like to visit are:
