Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

1.  No.
2.  Yes.
If you want to understand a bit more, please read a wonderful book "Brain Longevity" by D"r Drahama Singh.  It's a 800 pages book, not always easy to read, but it gives you an excellent picture what is the brain, how does it works, and most important: how to keep it in good shape.
Best regards,
D"r D. Oron.

Any pain or disappointment is transformed into growth and understanding.

There are different types of brain surgeries and for some you have to remain conscious and for others you have to be asleep. No the brain does not experience pain, but there are so many nerves in the brain that may be affected by head injuries or surgery.
