For how long can I use a bottle of wine after opening it? are there any special measures that I have to take?
The answer has too much nuance to type it all here. All wine begins to change once open. But that is not to say that all wine is bad after it's opened. A young vintage port may need to be decanted a day ahead of time just to get it into shape for drinking, while a delicate moscatel might be bad after a few hours.
As for what to do with leftovers? Getting the air out does sometimes help, sometimes no. But ALL wine will last longer in the fridge, it slows down change. So put EVEN RED wine in the fridge and when you want to drink it take it out. In fact I put all red wine in the fridge for a bit before drinking anyways. Red wine is often served too warm!
Also there will not be more alcohol flavor the longer it sits, at least for most wines. This is an over generalization. Some lose all flavor and taste like water, other become more acidic...depends on the wine.
No rule for all wine, the best way to know is too ask a knowledgeable sales person.
Once you have opened a bottle of wine you can store in the refrigerator up to 3 days to assure the best flavor.

Agree with Mr. Kelada
Gute,
You should also consider the type of wine. White wines you store in lower tempurture (max of 13c.), whereas red ones you should keep in room tempurture (max 18c.)
I wouldn't keep red wine in the fridge...
Whichever wine it is, you need to make sure you seal the bottle tightly, leaving no air inside. there are special corks for it, which should be available at any wine shop.
Howlong they last - depends on who tastes them - the more you keep a wine open, the more alcoholic falvour it will end up having. I would have to agree with the 3 days rule.
My best tip is - once you've opened a bottle of wine - simply drink it to its fullest, that way you dont have to worry about leaving it open
Enjoy!
the only measure is to finish it with in 1hr.
can't be stored (only if it is mine !)
It's purely a matter of taste. I don't care for wine even one day old, but I've known people who keep pouring from bottles they've kept in their fridge for months. (I suppose after a certain time it has probably gotten about as bad as it can get).
Some boxed wines nowadays are actually pretty decent, and boxed wines have the huge advantage that they stay "first-day-fresh" for months.
The example of boxed wines might offer a good cheap way to keep leftover wine longer: after opening a bottle, pour the remainder into a ziplock bag, zip it all but a small gap, then squeeze all the air out. I bet it would keep for many days that way. Of course, it might appear less than romantic to pull a plastic bag of wine out of your fridge, but the taste should make it worth the loss of image.
Oenophiles with too much cash will purchase a nitrogen backfilling kit so they can displace the oxygen from the top of the bottle when they store it, since it is the oxygen that does the damage to the flavor.
The three day rule is essentially valid if the wine is kept closed in the fridge. There are hand vacuum pumps made for wine that will ensure a good taste for some time after opening. How long depends on the wine and how good is the vacuum.
do not open if there is a possibility of some left for more then a day in the fridge.
as i know up to 3 days
