I have recently had a bone density test (my mother has Osteoporosis) with results indicating that I have higher than normal levels of calcium. My GP has inferred that I may have a problem with my Parathyroid and has sent me off for further tests i.e. Blood Tests, Urine sample etc... I have yet to hear of the final results. Are high calcium levels, as reflected in a bone density scan, the same as high calcium levels in the blood? I am getting confused!
