Do you have a Cost Plus in your area? If so, you might try there. (We use blue in our kitchen, and that's where I got most of mine.)
I have also found towels such as the ones you describe at Ross, but you never know what they'll have, or how many.
Have you checked larger stores such as J.C. Penney, Sears and Target as well? If not, that might also be a place to start.
