Does he really get "blue balls"?

I have a kind of embarrassing question. I have a boyfriend who I am trying to take it really slow with. Sometimes when we are fooling around he tells me that he gets "blue balls" since he doesn't have a release. Does this really exist or is he just making up an excuse for us to go further?

"Blue balls" is just a term, they don't actually turn blue.  But yes, when you get a man "hot and bothered" so to speak, and there is no release, the testes can become painful (which may last hours or days.)  I've personally experienced this, but I've also used it as an excuse to go farther (boys are tricky like that.) Not sure if that's helpful other than the fact that yes, blue balls do exist but arent blue :)

There is a pressure built up, but that doesn't cause any damage what-so-ever. But as far as I know, it's not a comfortable feeling.

This is why God invented masturbation.  If you tell your boyfriend that you are not ready for intercourse yet, if he is smart, he will finish the job himself after he leaves you.  If he really cares for you, he won't try to "guilt" you into sex.
