If you submitted your site map to google webmaster tools google will and probably have started crawling your blog.

other things you should do:

Basicly you need to build backlinks to your site but they need to be backlinks that count. Many sites use the nofollow rule so your links will not count with the search engines so finding good relevent sites is a must.

Also the content on your site has a lot to do with it. You need good unique content and not some copy an pasted crap that you see everywhere on the net.
