I find the Bible very useful for metaphors, so usually when I'm writing I find myself quite often looking for an idiom in the Bible.
Yes I read the bible. I think it is important to read even if not for religious reasons. Like tsif said, it is very useful for metaphors and many works of literature both past and present make references to the bible. It is therefore good to have some basic knowledge of the bible. I wish that more people would read it and take away some of the main messages of kindness that the bible teaches.

Whenever you read it you can find a new meannings, so you become a differnt reader everytime.
