I believe that we still have a chance, but we need the majority of the world on the exact same page as us to really make a difference. It's sad that this is what we have done to our planet earth, and even sadder that we have the power to change it and are not really using it.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, here, but I am a Christian and I believe we are fast approaching the "last days," so therefore, it is my beliefe that global warming is irreversible.

Bull. Reality is, it will usually hurt like hell and leave you with a permanent limp.

Beyond a doubt it is -  it most likely was before we even fully realized there was a problem.   Under any circumstances, conservative Americans will refuse to act unless it is their house actually being flooded.   Third world nations will have to educated to the problems and solutions before they will begin to react; meaning, they aren't going to.  In short,  I give humanity another 100 to 150 years  before our tickets are all punched.
