Uleft, it is obvious that you are a bit to the left of center.  I shook that folly out of both my sons and all three of my daughters.  They grew up to thank me, and they now have fine families on their own, all with degrees courtesy of Uncle Sugar. 

Now, if you want to talk about what's-her-name-Palin, I have to agree with you.  Gender doesn't mean anything to me: I want trained, aggressive, and competent leaders in the Executive Branch, because they have to make snap decisions and you don't learn the knack of that except in combat.

Mc Cain fought in Vietnam, flyingfrom the Oruskiny -- The Mighty O.  My first tour in Vietnam, I flew off the Kittyhawk and my second tour I flew off the Nimitz.  Maybe you have never made a carrier landing, but on three occasions I had to take control from shaky pilots and put us on data-link, which disconnects the throttle and stick . . ..
