I believe I have ADD , what do I do?

I believe I have ADD and my doctor ignores it as if it will go away, but it only seems to get worst. I am struggling in my classes because I am having such a hard time focusing. When friends talk to me they get mad because I cut them off, because I jump to something else, therefor missing what they say and i lose things alot. what do I do?
