How should I begin my speech for School Captain?

I am writing a speech about why students should vote for me for School Captain, however I am a little unsure of how to begin the speech (the introduction). I want to try and use an interesting story related to leadership that I can come back to at the conclusion. Do you know any stories of leadership that I could apply to school leadership? Do you have any other ideas on how to start my speech? Your help is greatly appreciated.

i love food... really any food

You could always relate your speech to a movie that you were moved by, concerning leadership.  For example, "Remember the Titans" is a movie with some wonderful leadership lessons, as well as "The Dead Poet Soceity."  You can take some quotes and a short story from one of the movies and relate the message and how you are going to be that positive person for your school.  It could be really interesting.  In the end, you want to make sure that you have your audience captivated...

well u should probably start by saying why u truely want this position. then u should say what u have to offer or to give eg. values ,experiences n many more even funny moments at the end u should say a catch phrase or make a promise that u can do n make
