How do I begin a recruiting or placement agency?

What steps do I take to begin a recruiting agency? I have years of experience sourcing, recuiting and building high performance teams for banks I've worked for... I've conducted hundreds on interviews...this is what I want to do full time...any good resources out there on how and where to begin???

The 1st thing you might want to do, vis-a-vis contemporary times, is to check out the corporate recruitment scene in your zone/area/region of operations. Then try and compartmentalise which industry is currently into outsourcing recruitments, and for what positions? Thereafter, it makes logical sense to first secure contracts with corporates for placements/recruitment authorizations. If you have clients in hand, candidates are not a problem; however, sustenance will become haranguing if, you depend totally on your candidate data base, without a depository for them viz., clients.

first you must have a web site then advertise it. then show some good offers that will attract costumers. also have contacts.
