Looking for cheap bank repo cars for sale at governments auctions can be risky, but if you are organized there are many bargains to be had.
Other cars on auction could also be abandonded cars, government vehicles and even seized vehicles.

The first thing I suggest you do is get a full list of vehicles on auction (I'll give you a good link a little further down), and do your own valuation on all the bank repo cars which you may be interested in. Set an upper limit bid / value for every vehicle and don't go above that price.

Important : The repossessed cars which you hope to bid on have to have titles (or at least  - be able to be titled) otherwise you can't obtain insurance.

If you have not experienced a repo car auction in the past then I recommend you attend a few auctions beforehand in order to get a better comprehension of the process - it's essential to build up some confidence because repo car auctions can be quite daunting the first occasion.

Once you have attended a few auctions you may begin to recognize the regulars - the people in shirt and tie are most likely used car salesmen.

Note which vehicles they tender on , they're guaranteed to know the market (what price they can retail the car for) and furthermore the general condition of the cars - they will most likely be on good terms with the auction personnel and would get further info - almost certainly more than us general public.

Remember that the car dealers aim to get a fat profit on the vehicles so they wouldn't like to offer as much as yourself - this whopping profit that the car salesmen would add on may possibly be your huge savings ....
(This is the most secure method that I know for buying cheap repo cars for sale - you could also go it solo if you have skilled advice and feel confident.)

The top way to collect info about impending repo car auctions are with with  Gov & bank repo cars and auctions , they are experts and possess one of the leading, up to date and most dependable information archives of Government & Police auctions of used, repo, impounded and seized vehicles, trucks and SUV's.

Alternatively you can check through hundreds of sites, magazines and newspapers, plus / or contact various vehicle repo institutes and credit unions. This would take lots of time and effort , and honestly, you couldn't come remotely near to the quantity and standard of up to date info which a business who focusses on this could. If you require access to the top bargains to be had then getting the most complete and up to date info is critical.

Hopefully I helped you a little with your search for cheap bank repo cars for sale.

All the best, and if you're patient and do the research you should be able to seal a great deal!

I would stay away from getting a repo car from a bank and this is why.  Sometimes a bank will reposess a car and sell it to someone else only for the first party who owned the car starts to pay the payments again and the bank gets payments from both parties for one car.  The bank will replace the repo car with an exact replica of the car back to the original owner making it look like it was the car that was repossessed.  It's a real rat business and banks are doing this a lot.  I know it happened to me.  Except it my case it was supposed to be a brand spanking new car.  The car was sold to two people myself and someone else.  The rest of this story is too long to go into but I eventually sold the car a year later and got a brand new car price trade in.  Banks are hurting right now and they will do most anything to stay in business especially credit unions.

I've experience buying repo vehicles at both offline and online auctions.

I agree offline auctions can be a risky business. You need to know very much what you're doing, or you may end up with a vehicle in bad condition and with a price not nearly as good as you could have gotten. Remember you'd be competing with professional car dealers with lots of experience.

Online auctions, on the other hand, are much safer for someone new, provided you take the necessary precautions. You should always get or ask for a full Autocheck - my favorite - Vehicle History Report ( not the one you get for free, sorry ). Ask any and all questions you may have, speek to other buyers and check the seller's rep. Don't forget also to find out how much similar cars have gone for in the past, and bid accordingly. There's a lot of money to be saved if you are smart.

Here's a pretty good article on repossessed car auctions .

Good luck!

You can contact your local bank to see if they have any inventory. Most banks send their cars directly to dealer auctions so they don't keep them around long.

Public auctions are always high risk for finding a reliable car but you have to give up something to get a great price.

You don't want to go to a auto auction , it would be easier to just go to a few car lots or look in paper - type auto auctions and your states name you wil find one really knowing how to check a used car would do you much better type in how to check used car wil save you time and money

type auto auctions bank repo's goverment auctions state name
