What ban and why?
The so called "assault weapons" ban never banned these firearms. Only their cosmetic features - threaded barrels, bayonet lugs, folding stocks(... for whatever dumb reason)and magazine capacity. These rifles looked and fired as well as the once with the "offending" features. How would re-instatement of this ban prevent violence in some foreign country/Mexico(and who the hell cares?) while infringing on our - United States of America's constitutional rights??
