Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
I checked in Guiness book of records and found out that the greatest (officially recorded) number of children produced by one mother is 69.  She was the 1st wife (out of 2 wives) of Feodor Vassilyev (1707-1782), a peasant from Shuya (a village located some 150 miles east of Moscow).  In 27 confinements she gave birth to: 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets.  The children, were born in the period between 1725 to 1765.
Best regards,

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
I read an article about a woman that gave birth to some 46 children (including several twins and several sets of triplets).  The article claimed that she is the world's record.  That woman is from south-America (I am not sure but I think it's Peru).  They are very poor farmers (don't know to read / write).  I read that article some 4-5 years ago at that time she was in her late 40's.  I'll try to find more detales, if I find I'll provide it.
Best regards,

I am not sure of the record on this one, but I know that my great grandmother was pregnant with 12 fetus's and out of one of them only 1 boy survived.  So that should give you at least a number to start with.

There is a T.V. show called 18 children & counting... Pretty crazy I say. But the couple on the show seem to handle ALL of them just fine.
