1988 toyota 4 runner the solenoid on the starter is for the starter. I am tryin to find one for the IGNITION CIRCUIT itself. its not just the starter its the entire ignition that goes dead. if its already running once it warms up it just dies;.
I believe that the solenoid is located ont the starter itself. If you can just follow the positive battery cable down to its next junction towards the starter motor; that is usually where the starter solenoid is located.
Life is a one lap race. Make many pitstops.
The ignition control module is located under the ignition coil. It's under the hood on the drivers side on the upper part of the engine. I hope that is what you are looking for. I'm not familar with an ignition solenoid.
