Battery or Alternator

had to jump car this morning and car started right away. i drove for 35 minutes to work then parked the car and tried to restart but it wouldn't start. does this sound like a battery or alternator problem?

Sounds like the alternator.

What goes around comes around

There is a small chance it's the battery but it could also be the alternator. It's probably not the battery cause you drove for 35 minuted before parking it again.

No matter where you're going, once you get there, there you are.

It could be either one, but is most likely the battery.  If it ran for 35 minutes after jumping it, without any problems.  If it was the alternator, the Battery could not have lasted but a couple minutes.

But don't you think it's strange that the battery lasted for a drive of 35 minutes and after that died again? This makes me think towards the alternator.

sound to me like the battery the person that said the battery could not have lasted that long was right. your car would have staled shortly after jumping it if the altenator was bad.

It could have been either one, but I bet the problem has been solved by now.  Somebody wake up imcginty and ask them for an update.

  Without doing any testing, which of course is impossible from here, I think it impossible to know. Get the car looked at by a reliable mechanic !
