Just make sure it is secure so it doesn't topple in the trailer. I had a friend once who trashed his bike because it fell over. It was a real shame.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q - What do I need to know before I ship my motorcycle?

A - Make sure your motorcycle is within 96" long, and 40" wide. You need to know the weight of your motorcycle. You also need to completely drain all fuel from the tank, unlock the steering, remove the keys, fold in the mirrors if possible, and remove all items from the saddlebags and glove box. DO NOT send the keys or important documents with your motorcycle. We recommend you send them with an overnight courier. The driver will not pick up or deliver the keys and documents.

Q - How long does it take to ship my motorcycle?

A - Transit times depend on shipping distance, weather, road conditions and frequency on specific routes. Typical transit times range between 5 - 14 days.

Q - How many days in advance do I need to call?

A - Plan enough time for us to pick up your motorcycle. One week in advance is recommended. We will also deal with urgent situations on an individual basis, and will be given priority status. Please call us to discuss your needs.

Q - How long does it take to pick up my motorcycle?

A - Drivers normally pick up your motorcycle within 1 to 4 working days from the date you place your order. Also, we can always arrange to accommodate your schedule, but you may incur additional costs.

Q - How far in advance reservations are accepted?

A - We do accept reservations up to two months in advance.

Q - How much does it cost to ship my motorcycle?

A - Prices are determined by mileage, motorcycle size, weight, and delivery location.

Q - What form of payment options do I have?

A - We accept Personal Checks, Cashier's Checks, Postal Money Orders, and Major Credit Cards (we do require customer's signature for credit card payment). We have a dual price structure. A discount is offered for payment by cash, certified check or wire transfer

Q - Can I send my belongings with my motorcycle?

A - No. Send the belongings with North American Van Lines.

Q - Is my motorcycle insured during transit?

A - Your motorcycle is insured up to a maximum of $5000, which is included in your shipping costs. Should you require additional insurance, you have the option to purchase this insurance at a rate of 1% on the declared value above $5000. Please note that any damages to the motorcycle must be noted on the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. No insurance claims will be entertained subsequent to delivery.

Q - Will you ship my motorcycle if it's in operable?

A - Please call for further details, if your motorcycle is in-operable..

Q - What if I am unavailable to Pick up the motorcycle?

A - Have an alternative party like a friend or relative to sign on your behalf. If you are not available for the pick up of your motorcycle. Make sure there is someone available to be reached directly by a phone for the driver to schedule a delivery time. The driver usually calls within 3 to 24 hours before their arrival, and the delivery time is within a 4-hour time frame

Q - What if my location is inaccessible to the truck?

A - Most trucks are 65 feet long and very wide which makes it impossible to reach most residential areas due to narrow roads, trees, power lines, city ordinances, and other road factors. The driver will attempt to get as close as possible to the delivery location, or we will arrange a convenient location like shopping center or major street crossing to pick up or deliver your motorcycle.

Q - How can I track the shipment of my motorcycle?

A - The Bill of Lading number provided on pick-up will be your tracking number throughout the shipment. You can track your shipment on-line by following the "Tracking" link on our website.
