If you can't find a simple solution (have you checked all the fuses?) then I am afraid you may have to choose between getting another car or getting this one repaired.

I have an '02 Toyota Camry and mine is undergoing repairs for the same thing, even as I type. The mechanic is having to remove the dash and go through the components part by part to locate the source of the trouble.

Ever since my father and sister gave me his LS, the check engine light was on. She drove it up and drove it to the store for some errands. As I pulled into my parking space the check engine light... out the top of the engine. Then I'd reinstall the plugs, Change the oil/filter and start the car...

Do-it-yourselfers out there, what type of maintenance is truly necessary besides regular oil changes... for a "regular" maintenance!
