Hey... I have a 91 Chevy Caprice and I'm having ...

Hey... I have a 91 Chevy Caprice and I'm having trouble with it. When I start the car many times it will start up bit then idle roughly and the engine revs for a little bit and shut off. If I keep trying it will eventually fight through and keep running. Also when I'm driving it will lose power and then I have to let go of the gas and then tap it so it will pick up. Does anyone know what is wrong?
