I want to change the STOCK air filter on my 2005 ...

I want to change the STOCK air filter on my 2005 MINI Cooper (non S). 2 main questions: 1. is the filter an irregular (not rectngular) shape? Told PepBoys what I wanted and they sold me a rectangular unit ... but it has to be wrong because the airbox shape looks like the filter could have 5 or 6 sides ... depending on how it is made 2. do I just remove 2 screws on right side of air box, or must i also remover round air hose on left side (not sure how to remove it because or starnge clamp)? thanx!
