I was involved in a hit and run accident and I have no insurance(I live in Michigan yes thats illegal).

This person hit my car and fled the police was called the SUV was located but the person jumped out but we know who the person is.

I have over $4,000 wortho f damage done to my car.

Question Can I get my car fixed by the other vehicles insurance?

What kind of legal trouble am I In.
