When authority goes too far?

Who and where do you turn if a corrections facility is over stepping there boundaries with inmates and making threats?

To file a grievance with the facility itself doesn't do any good because the Warden tosses it aside and then there's retaliation. My husband is afraid for his life and fears one officer in particular will plant something on him just because he can.... so who can you go to without being treated like he deserves what he is getting just because he is an inmate?

Life is like a Vapor, here then gone

You can swim all day in the sea of knowledge, and never get wet.

If he is an inmate and is being harrassed, it could be hard to prove, they may say oh he did something for us to have to act in a certain manner. I would speak to a lawyer or call your local DA's office and see where you go from there. Jail isnt a fun place, and some harrasment is to be expected, but it does not make it right. You will need to do the foot work for him , if they wont do any thing inside. You may also want to go to your local library and look up some law codes. You might have to do some digging. You didnt say what kind of harrasment.

Your husband should complain to his union (or association).  If there is none, he should try to form one.  The worker should always have someone on his side.
