I'm pretty sure you can.  Just to be sure, though, you may want to talk to your doctor.

 

yes you can. I am actually doing the atkin's diet. I have been in phase one for about a month and a half. :] The book says only to move on, when you are satisfied with your weight loss during the first phase.
