Catastrophes happen. It may be an act of God or maybe not. If someone does not plant a tree very close to the house, then when there is a typhoon or other natural calamity, the tree would fall to the ground, not to the house. I guess what I'm saying is if one lives in a place where there are typhoons, etc, why take the chance? Plant the large trees away from the house so no one will blame God for any bad outcome.

Why park a car under a big tree during typhoons?
